Driving the lead scout vehicle in a convoy going through Fallujah, my truck spotted an IED. As we were backing away, the IED was detonated. I was hit with several pieces of shrapnel. Then we were caught in an ambush where we assaulted and eliminated the enemy. Narrative submitted with enrollment.
